Server 2003: Is there an easy way to have ALL users still logged in to be
automatically logged off automatically at say, 10pm?

I can't seem to be able to find anything that is obvious.

  2. Do you use AD?
I'm not sure about logging out, but restarting is easy if you use psshutdown
from Sysinternals (now Microsoft). You can set it up with a scheduled task
    from one of your DCs.
Users will lose data if they've got files left open unsaved, so I would try
to make this a training issue before making it a technological one.

Yeah, this is an Active Domain. I would prefer NOT to do a re-start at this
    time.

What about a Powershell script? Another board recomended it, but I am just
not sure how to user Powershell at this point.

It seems strange that there is a way to do this manually with an MMC
snap-in, but it can't be done automatically.

  4. Why not? It accomplishes what you want, and has the added benefit of freeing
up memory, making sure all PCs run the latest shutdown/startup scripts
    assigned via GPO, whatnot.
    Nor I.
