background color in Windows Explorer

    I cannot find any way to change the background color in Windows Explorer.
    Is there some way to do it in Vista? It would be very helpful when working
    with images.

    Not much help but a pointer.

    XP uses Control Panel, Display Properties and Appearance. These have
    probably been renamed under Vista.
