    Hi

I have installed an external USB 2 IOMEGA 35GB REV Hard drive to my server
but when I try to configure the backup from Server Management to backup to
drive E: (which is the drive letter allocated to the REV) it gives me a
message "You can only back up to internal harddDisks, external hard disks, or
    tape drives.

It is an external hard disk but it must look like a CD writer or something
    to SBS.

    Anyone any ideas on either

    a) overcoming this by making it appear as what it is ie an external hard disk

    or

    b) can I use NTBackup instead of server management as NTBackup does seem to
accept this drive. If I use NTBackup, will scheduled backups run when the
server is not logged in. (This doesnt seem to happem with the backup software
    supplied with the REV drive)

    Thanks

    Steve
