Best practice for user profiles redundancy across multiple DCs ?

Hi. Is there any best practice advise on storing user's profiles across
multiple DCs for redundancy ? At the moment we have multiple DCs with user
profiles being stored on only one. In the event this particular DC fails
users will not have access to their profiles other than any locally stored
versions. On NT there was there was the possibility of using %logonserver%.

Is this still an advisable solution on Win2k3 with XP based networks or are
other options available ? I am aware DFS is another possiblity with SP1,
but are there any other solutions I should consider ?

Realize that a profile can be stored in only one location, to AD's point of
view. What you would do in your case is replicate it out using DFS or a
    robocopy/xcopy script for backup purposes.
