I don't know any other way to describe it. I installed WLM today and this is
    what I see:

I've tried uninstalling it, downloading a new copy of the installation file
and reinstalling but I still get this beautiful sight.

Any ideas? Right now this is completely useless.

For now, can I suggest you look at pjs 's post from yesterday where it seems
a small number of folks are having graphics issues.

As I suggested there can you try to down-change display resolution/refresh
    rate and post back?

Man, I hope this can be worked out. I'd really like to give this application

Folks are trying to fix this I'm sure - so just hang tight. I don't have any
    new ideas at the moment.

But it will get sorted. Could take a while though...

Any info on your set-up (graphics card etc) might help.

I very much doubt it's anything to do with WU.

Good observation from that image. I installed this month's updates earlier
today, shortly after I captured that image. And, of course, it had no effect

  10. John,

Can you give us more information about your system to help us track this
    down?
    - What OS are you running?
    - What is your video card information?
    - Do you have any programs installed that do special things with graphics?
For example, Window Blinds or TweakUI?

    Thanks,
    Stacey

NO problem. I'm running WinXP Home on a Compaq Presario 2204US laptop, I
uninstalled Window Blinds over a year ago and I'm not running TweakUI. I
cannot find a video card listed. The only thing I can give you about the
    video card is this:

Did you try the registry hack that seemed to solve this type of problem for
other affected users? Under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail there
should be a DWORD value called Tree with data 1 - it was set to 0 for some
who reported the same error you were seeing.
