I have WinXP Pro as the host OS, with Windows 95 as guest OS.
With VirtualPc 2004, I had no problems.

After upgrading to VirtualPC 2007, I get frequent blue screens on launching
various programs, browsing with internet explorer 5.5,... once even on
starting up windows 95 in VirtualPC.

These are a sample of some of the error messages I get with the blue screens:

-A fatal exception 0E has occurred at 0000:0000006B. The current application
    willl be terminated.
-A fatal exception OE has occurred at 0028:C00046A0 in VXD VMM(01) +
000036A0. The current application willl be terminated.
-A fatal exception 0E has occured in VXD VCACHE ... ( I didn't take down
    the exact wording).

Most of the errors I get are the "VXD VMM(01)" error messages.

    I did a lot of googling - can't find a solution.

    Is there an obvious fix?
Or do I need to reinstal VirtualPC 2004?

  2. Do you have machine which is VT/SVM capable?
You can verify this by checking File -> Option -> Hardware virtualization
option. If it is enabled try to disable that.

When I check File -> Options -> Hardware virtualization: under "Current
    Value", it says "Not available".
In the adjacent window it says "Note: Hardware-assisted virtualization is
    not available on this computer."
