I stupidly downloaded the 'Browser Choice' update and can't get rid of it.
I'd made my browser choices before downloading (I use IE, Chrome and
sometimes Firefox), so I don't want to pick another one. But I can't get rid
of the update: every time I reboot it comes up, with an annoying 'Certificate
cannot be verified' message as well (from Windows????). I don't want ever to
see this browser choice message again: how do I permanently get rid of it?

    Many thanks

I googled your problem and in Config Syst, start up there is probably
check mark by borwser choice. Uncheck it and reboot.
Before you do that you need to google and read instructions. I am not
cert. tech so let there be caution to the wind

    Did you read Google's instructions?
Go to Google, type in How to remove browser's choice, then look at
different links as some are for UK.
Print out instructions and then follow them to the letter.
"If you don't know what you are doing then don't do it!"
    Get some local help.
