Buffering Videos--too long

    why does it take so long to "buffer" videos? It is taking me about 20-40
    minutes to "buffer" a 4 minute video clip--what is wrong. Is there any other
    way to view it?

    What speed of broadband do you have, and what does WMP say about the
    file bitrate in File -> Properties ? And what are the network settings
    set to in WMP menu Tools -> Options -> Network ?
