I think they've fixed it Uncle Gus. I uninstalled and reinstalled WLMD, and
now I can hear midi's and wav's playing in news messages.....:) Woo Hoo!

    Hi Tinkerer,

Tried 3 account every combination, gets embedded, but still doesn't play for
    me :-((

If you Ctrl+F2 your message where it plays, if it shows your full path, it
    is not embedded
and is playing only for you.

Mine is showing embedded "cid:[email protected]"
    and is not playing

    Only in OE.

    Cheers

Bags....I made a comment without checking everything first. My fault Uncle
Gus. It *does* play on my end, but only because I've uninstalled IE 7 for a
short period of time. I'd uninstalled it initially to check on flash
content not playing in rich text news messages in WLMD or in OE. It appears
that security features in IE 7 may be the culprit at this time, at least,
unless someone else wants to check for me as well...:)

Hi Tinkerer, I have been working with Uncle Gus on this since a long time
ago. When you compose a Stationery that has a midi, it plays beautifully,
but when you send it, somehow the midi gets removed. If you click on the
"Sent Items" folder, and open the message, it no longer plays. Wonder what
setting it is in IE 7 that is preventing midi's from playing? I posted the
bug at Connect.com so we'll have to see if it gets fixed.

There is feedback about midi files that's been labled as fixed. What I've
found is that I *can* embed sound in news messages, and after being
posted, OE users can hear the sound (be it mid or wav files), but until
I uninstalled IE 7 I couldn't hear the sound in WLMD.

    Hi Tinkerer,

I can hear all the midis sent from WLMD to OE using IE7, but not when sent
    to WLMD
    from either WLMD or OE.

    Cheers

So when reading messages in OE, you have no problems hearing embedded sound,
but can't hear it when in WLMD?

Right! When I compose them in WMLD I hear the midi, but never again unless I
    open it in OE.

    Have a great day
