bug: toolbar interface barely works

  1. I installed the Sept 2 2004 release (build 3646) of WMP10 today,
over whichever beta was on the MS site just before.

When the toolbar gizmo is enabled, the play, stop, previous and next
buttons are grayed out and do nothing.

I'm running Windows XP, SP2 on a P4 with plenty of memory. When
this problem first appeared, I was running no other applications (having
    just installed the player).

The other toolbar features appear to work, although when I select the
'Volume' function, a slider appears simply plastered over the useless
buttons instead of replacing them as in earlier versions. This should
be considered a bug also since it is ugly and potentially confusing.

  2. A system reset appears to cure most of this problem. The ugly
slider overlay persists, but I guess that is by design.
