    Hi,

for education purposes - we are trying to build the generic printer sample
( Windows 98 ) but are having problems doing so.

We are using VC 1.52 and MASM, have the 98 DDKinstalled and all but the
resulting DRV file will not be accepted by Win 98.

I realize that there is some 16bit issues to address when building such
legacy drivers - would anyone have any clues / help in getting this driver
    to build?

    Thanks.

    Dennis.

It's possible, if you give the actual error message from windows, that
someone might have seen that error message and would be able to tell you
what the problem might be. However, "not accepted" is too vague a
description of the problem for anyone to give you any help.

Thanks Scott. We just figured it out 10 minutes ago. We were linking in
    the wrong libs.

An easy mistake to make -- I've done it a time or two myself back in the
days when I used to do Win 9x printer drivers.
