I recently began using vista media center (running vista sp1) and have
recorded several tv programs. Yesterday I was going to burn a DVD using Media
Center and the option to burn dvd's is not shown under 'tasks'.

Is there a way to re-enable this feature or is there something else that I
    am missing?

    Thanks

With this kind of problem in Media Centre 2005, you would have needed to
re-install Sonic Encoders, which would have fixed it and possibly make a
    registry setting change.

Although I'm not at all familiar with Vista, I can suggest you try seeing if
reinstalling Sonic Codecs or going into add remove programs and windows
componments to see whether sonic cd/dvd burning is enabled, as if that's not
installed then that could well be stopping you from burning the disk
    altogether.
