C Media Multimedia software update failure caused me to
lose all sounds, audio driver to play Windows 98 default
sounds, although I could bring up some installed media
player sound, not sure how, & volume control icon on
desktop has been replaced by C Media mixer which can't be
deleted, like the whole software program, which can't be
located as update, just original install which won't help.
I have tried disable/enable in profile prompts, renewing
the windows audio (?) & many other things w/o perm
deleting or altering, but still no sound or driver. the
software is not even in programs...please help, I need to
reinstate my audio capabilities & completely rmove the
    failed software.
