    How is user/device licenses calculated?

    10 computes
    12 usersnames
    15 users (people)

    is 10 device CAL ok?

    10 computers
    8 usernames
    15 users (people)

    is 8 user CAL ok?

Can someone please clear this out for me?

Yes - you have 10 devices.

No - user CAL does not relate to usernames, it relates to actual people. So
you would need 15 user CALs. In this example it would be more efficient to
    get device CALs.

So I its to count device (computes) against users (actual people, not
usernames) and buy the smaller one.
