Microsoft states that a Windows Small Business Server 2003 domain needs to
have a SBS 2003 server as the root of the active directory and the SBS 2003
    can not trust other domains.

On the other hand, is it possible to have a Windows 2003 server domain.
This Windows 2003 server would then be the root of the active directory and
it would trust other SBS 2003 domains?

That SBS box has to be king of the hill. You can have a member server
be an "additional" domain controller....but there is no such thing as
    "trusts" in SBSland.

In SBSland...we are a spoiled only child.
