Can anyone go into their favorites and rename their links?

At home and at work I could not do this. Can anyone confirm if this is an
actual bug?

 

For *you* it is certainly a bug, especially if it appears on more than one
machine.

Personally I can't reproduce the issue on the three PCs I'm using - is the
ability greyed out? Does the change not stick?

I also am unable to rename my links, nor view their properties. The options
are not greyed out, but when I select them nothing happens. However, the
problem is intermittent. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it does not.

 

Ah, then you may be hitting a down bug where if the context menu drops below
the lower edge of the favorites centre pane, it may not work.

I also came across this. I kept hitting properties for a link and absolutely
nothing happened. The link that i was trying to change the properties on was
actually the page that I was on. After I moved to a different page, I was
able to see the properties of the link and change it.

 

It is a bug if more the usual number of machines have it. I posted a minor
reply to your other post. The favorites show up as though they should work
but he only options available are to delete them. I have to type in the url
to get to my links or go to another menu in XP to do the same thing. I am
about to do another uninstall and reinstall to see if this helps. Hope
someone finds a solution or workaround. Glad to see that I am not the only
one having this problem!
