I recently set up my windows mail account to retrieve my yahoo emails, i
didnt realise until after that there is an option in windows mail where you
can leave the messages on the server and to be honest i didnt realise it
would take them all off of the server by default. Is there anybody out there
clever enough to sort out my mess???

    Hi Paul

The only way that I know of, other than to have them resend you th
messages, is to "Forward" them all back to your email account. Th
"From" will change, but the original sender will be contained in th
    body of the email

What Shaw has told you is about the only way and it works.

What you want to achieve can be done if you have Outlook and Exchange Server installed. But I doubt very much that this will be worthwhile for you in time and mainly in expense.

  4. What Shawn and Peter said, plus:

    Tools | Accounts
    Double click the account.
On the Advanced tab check the box to leave a copy on the server.
