Can I stop MSN from hijacking my homepage?

Discussion in 'Internet Explorer' started by LadyDungeness, Aug 4, 2007.

  1. I'm using IE 6 in XP Home SP 2 plus all updates. No matter what I do,
my home page stays at MSN. I don't want it. I've tried to change it
through Tools > Options >, but it won't stick. I've tried to edit the
registry, but I get an error that I'm not allowed to change the key.
I've been to Kelly's site and have confirmed that changing homepage is
enabled. I've checked Zone Alarm -- there are no settings that affect
homepage. I've check Spybot S&D -- again, apparently, I have never
locked my home page (or else I'm misreading what I see).

MSN really annoys me. I want my own home page please. Can somebody
    help?

Is it really MSN that's hijacking your homepage? Hmmm...

You have posted this same issue day before yesterday and you got a few good answers from people that are excellent in giving help. Can you please keep to your original post and explain if those answers helped or not and what is still happening.

'Shoot', why do most of the better-looking ones have an impairment to their
    neural structure...?
    But I really don't give a hoot :)
