First off I HATE how Vista imports everything to Pictures by the date
imported instead of the date taken. The reason why I hate this is because my
Pictures file comes up anytime I want to browse for pics to upload to sites
such as Photobucket. My pictures aren't filed by date taken in the Picutures
file (because I don't have time to do this) They file themselves by date
taken in Photo Gallery though. So my question is, Is there any way to make
Photo gallery come up when I want to browse photos to upload to these sites?
If not can is there any way to automatically file pictures by date taken and
not date imported in the Pictures file? I really hope someone can answer
this as it has been very discouraging.

If you mean you want to sort the Pictures folder by "Date Taken", then yes,
    you can.
    Open the Pictures folder
right-click on one of the column headers, click on "More..."
scroll down , and click on "Date Taken"
this will add the "Date Taken" column
click on the header to sort up/down

I have tried that. The main folders are still sorted by the date imported.
So I have to remember what the dates of the pictues are in the folders. then
they are labeled by the number the camera gives them. not the date taken.
So when I want to upload them to say, Photobucket. I have to search for the
pictures I want and it takes forever. I take tons of pictures and don't
import them everyday so one import file can have 2 weeks or more worth of
pictures in it. I just wish I could use Windows Photo Gallery When I want to
upload pics to photo sharing sites. That would solve the problem of the
pictures folder not sorting the way I want. But the pictures file pops up
automatically. I don't know if I am making any sense or not.
