Can SBE support front-end OWA on one server and back-end Exchange server on
    another server?
    How do I achieve that?

What additional security are you truly going to get from this? A dual
Exchange setup is normally in a situation where the server is more
specifically attacked or there is some other specific need. We're not
out here. We're in the "road kill" category. It would be better served
if you took your budget and purchased a patch management program than to
purchase a second Exchange server and cals.

  3. What do you think you want to accomplish on this and perhaps we can
    suggest another process?

I do not need 2 Exchange servers.
I just want to move the OWA component to another web server in DMZ and call
    it a OWA server.
There is a Cisco PIX firewall between DMZ and Internal network.
The back-end Exchange server is sitting in Internal network.
In the case that the OWA server is compromised, it has limited access into
Internal network. It's just for damage control when there is security breach.
Besides, the same OWA server will also run Symantec SMTP gateway for email
    virus-protection and spam-control.

    Thank you.
