Can the local OTA SD guide be assigned to the OTA HD guide channel

The OTA SD guide information is correct and correctly copies to the OTA HD
channels when the TV Signal is configured for antenna.

After changing the TV Signal to STB, the DirecTV guide is correct, the OTA
SD channels are removed and there is no guide data available for the OTA HD
channels. DirectTV does not offer local channels via satellite in Missoula,
MT so there are no local SD channels for MCE to copy from when configured
this way. Tried using Edit Digital TV Listings but all of the station
affiliates I found have different times and program listings then my local
    stations.

I know that MCE has only one guide and cannot receive SD OTA signal and STB
signal at the same time, but my simple minded logic tells me that MCE should
still be able to point the OTA HD channels to use the SD OTA channels guide.

Has anybody tried editing the “prefs.xml†file to assign the SD guide to the
    HD channels?

I am very interested in any other solutions you can think of. Thanks,

STB=DirecTV HD Receiver H10 with HDTV antenna input
MCE 2005, Satellite tuner=ATI Theater 550 Pro TV Tuner, HDTV tuner=ATI HDTV
    Wonder, Graphics=ATI Radeon X700 Pro
