I'm trying to add and use as my default the import wizard from Microsoft
Digital Image 2006 to Pictures Autoplay dropdown this possible and
can you provide instructions? I'm not pleased with using the available
options, since I prefer to name photos on the import (ie Thanksgiving 1,
Thanksgiving 2, etc...). Also, I like the 'delete after import' feature...

    Thank you in advance.

That would probably involve registry editing of the Explorer AutoPlay hive,
which is straight-forward once you understand it. It's not trivial if
you're not versed in the registry. =\

(err, if you're *not* versed in the registry...)

I have made a few registry edits, typically with a tool or some help...scale
1-10, how tricky? Also, can you provide instructions?

    Look under
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

You basically want to duplicate the effects of one of those. A value there
    corresponds to a value under

    Any InvokeProgID lives under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.

This isn't difficult once you understand it - the documentation on should also be helpful.
