am unable to access this folder which is on a Win2003 SBS server. But when I
type it like this with IP
(\\192.168.34.34\reed2) I can access it just fine what am I doing wrong is
this a Group Policy that has been set I cannot figure this out.

  2. DNS resolves names to IP addresses. Generally, when you get to folder with
and IP but not by name it is a DNS issue.

    Try a:
    ping -a 192.168.34.34

The -a will query the DNS server (if it can find one) for a name.

If you get a response, but no name, you have verified it is a DNS problem.
You can you IPCONFIG /ALL to see what DNS entries you computer has configured.
