    Computer Connect Error

I have been getting a [53] failure after running
http://servername/connectcomputer at the client station. The error message
"An error has occurred when configuring network settings. See your network
administrator". After running this connection program, the program added a
user with admistrative rights (__sbs_netsetup__) to the client Win XP Pro
workstation. This is exactly the error that raydw00 (8/18/05) got on his
posting. I have tried most of what was suggested to raydw00 but the problem
    pursists.

Background: Network Configuration Overview - This is a new install that
consist of 5 Windows XP Pro SP2 Clients (All Dell Dimension machines,Pentium
4 2.0Mhz or faster, 256Mb RAM) and a fileserver running Windows Small
    Business Server 2003 SP1 (Dell PowerEdge 1800, 1Gb RAM, 2 CPUs, RAID 5) that
came pre-installed by Dell. Two of the 5 Workstations are wired
connections, the other three are wireless. The stations that we are trying
to connect first are the wired connections. The 5 workstations and
fileserver are connected through a Linksys Wireless Router/Switch (Model
WRT54AG). The LinkSys Router/Switch is configured to act as the DHCP Server.
I added the fileserver to the list of DNS servers as the Primary DNS Server
on the LinkSys Router/Switch. The fileserver was given a static IP Address
during the configurating of Win Sm Bus. Svr 2003. This configuration is
somewhat different from raydw00 (8/18/05) because he was using the Win Sm Bus
Svr 2003 as the DHCP Server.

The ipconfig /all for the server is :

    Windows IP Configuration

    Host Name ..............................................: SSASSOC-SVR
    Primary Dns Suffix.....................................ssalk-dom.local

On the filesserver I have been able to resolve the followinng at the
    fileserver:

As Cris says, in the ideal world you would have SBS do the DHCP. Apart from
that, you could reconfigure your current DHCP server to only provide the SBS
as a DNS server (ONLY one DNS server). Then configure forwarders within DNS
on the SBS to point to your other DNS servers. (Open DNS admin console,
right-click <yourservername>\properies, click on forwarders tab, add the
    other dns servers here.
