Ok here are the details. I did an inplace upgrade from w2k server (standard)
to sbs 2003 standard with no apparent errors. I followed the "To do list" in
the order that was presented. My setup is as follows:
    Dell 1500sc 512mb ram
    2 Nics - internal 192.168.1.2
    No Default Gateway
    DNS Server 192.168.1.2
    Primary Wins 192.168.1.2

    - External 192.168.7.3
    Default Gateway 192.168.7.1
    DNS Server 192.168.1.2
    Primary Wins 192.168.1.2

    Linksys Router 192.168.7.1

    internal domain xyz.com
    external domain xyz.ca

The Problem is that I cannot connect the clients to the server
(http://servername/connectcomputer) to the Domain, and that the Companyweb is
not available from either the server or the clients (page cannot be found).
As this was an inplace upgrade it had a previous internal Domain name
(xyz.com), and all the users can still access the resources on the server.
IIS shows that the companyweb is running. I am getting an error in the event
log as follows, not sure if it is related,

    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: W3SVC-WP
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 2214
    Date: 4/4/2005
    Time: 9:16:13 AM
    User: N/A
    Computer: ATLAS
    Description:
The HTTP Filter DLL c:\inetpub\sbsflt\sbsflt.dll failed to load. The data
    is the error.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
    Data:
    0000: 05 00 00 00 ....

Not sure if anymore info is needed, but let me know and I will post. Thanks
    for any help on this

  3. Hi Ken,

Thanks for using the SBS public newsgroup.

According to your description, I understand that you encountered the event
    2214 in the event view.

In order to resolve this issue, please help perform the tests and gather
    the information:

First please check the version of this DLL file, my version is the file
version is 5.2.2651.0, file size is 6656 bytes. If it is the same as yours,
please check the permission to the folder ''C:\Inetpub\sbsflt'', these
files should also inherit the permission from this folder:

    Administrators - Full Control
    INTERACTIVE - Read
    NETWORK - Read
    SYSTEM - Full Control
Users - Read & Execute, Read

In addition, the correct status for the ISAPI Filters on ''Default
    Website'' should be the following:

    Filter Name Location Priority
    SBSFLT c:\inetpub\sbsflt\sbsflt.dll High
    fpexedll.dll C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server
    Extensions\50\bin\fpexedll.dll Low
    OwaLogon C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\ExchWeb\bin\auth\OwaAuth.dll Unknown

Having said that, I would also suggest the following to resolve this
problem (if the NTFS permission modification doesn''t fix the problem):

    1. Access the Properties of ''Default Website'', switch to the
''ISAPI Filters'', and then remove all the listed ISAPI filters.

    2. Commit the IIS configuration changes to disk by running iisreset.

    3. Add the ISAPI filters back by using the criteria listed above.

    4. And then issuing IISRESET again to commit the IIS changes.

If the problem still existed, please check the event view to see if there
are any other related error message, please also paste to the public
    newsgroup.

I appreciate your taking the time to perform the tests, if you have any
further issue, please do not hesitate to let me know. I am standing by to
    help you.
