The April 2006 Update Rollup is supposed to add an additional AC3 Decoder to
fix an "Unsupported File Type" error message. However, I cannot find the AC3
decoder which the update is supposed to add.
I used "Windows XP Video Decoder Checkup Utility" to find all decoders. A
    AC3 decoder was not listed.

    From April 2006 Rollup website:
    • You receive a "Unsupported File Type" error message when you burn a DVD
    video

When you try to burn a DVD video by using the Cyberlink PowerDVD MPEG2
decoder, you may receive a "Unsupported File Type" error message. This
problem occurs after you install Update Rollup 2 for Windows XP Media Center
Edition 2005. This update adds an additional AC3 decoder to the list of
    supported decoders.

    Was the AC3 decoder installed?

I am certainly not surprised that you did to find an AC3 AUDIO decoder
listed when you used the XP VIDEO decoder check utility to check your VIDEO
    decoders.
