Cannot get an internet connection with a Lan connection with Server 2003

  1. This is my problem:

I am running Windows Server 2003 Standard Ed. 1-4 CPU version. All updates
    have been installed.

I have 1 NIC installed (Intel Pro/1000 MT) Server Adapter. It is configured
to and DNS server address of This connection serves my 50 computer network and seems to work

I have an onboard NIC (nVidia nForce Network adapter) manually configured to
access my internet provider. This is set to find it's DNS server at (it has a static IP address/mask/gateway).

When both cards are active, the internet card can not get out. It appears
that all signals are being intercepted internally. When I disable the Intel
network adapter, the internet works fine.

I was told that this could be a DNS issue and after working through some of
the suggestions, I did not get a resolution. As long as the Intel adapter
was enabled, I could not get an internet connection. At one point I even
removed the DNS role from the server to see if that would make a difference
and verify that the problem was DNS related, but the internet connection
would still not work until the Intel card was disabled. I have also tried
replacing both connections with different NIC cards (a DLink, a LinkSys and
a Belkin) all with the same result.

Anyone got any suggestions or has run into this problem before? In case it
matters, the CPU is a AMD 4200+ dual core processor and the Motherboard is a
ASUS A8N-E (bios is up to date).

I would really like to get both connections working so that I did not have
to disable the Lan to access the internet.

Thanks, any responses are truely appreciated!
