    Hi, I got a problem with MWP10.

I was able to play videos (wmv, mpg, etc) embedded in webpages using
WMP9. However, after upgrading to WMV10, it does not play those videos
    anymore.

When opening such webpages, I can see a WMP10 player UI there, and the
play button will be available, however, clicking it won't start the
video playing. Also, right click the player, the menu item "Error
Details" is disabled, indicating there's no error occurred.

I've tried much time to configue my WMP10, and searched Internet for
similar problems. In this newsgroup seems some people has asked this
question before, but none got a working solution.

Anyone knows how to enable WMP10 to play embedded videos in webpages?
    Thanks a lot ya...

Is the player UI messed up, or does it look normal?

The player UI in the webapges appear normal. It just does not play the
    movie files... :(

If you enter the URL directly in WMP, does it work then?

Yes, it works if I select "Open from URL", and enter the movie's URL.

Unfortunately, there's no angle of investigation here at this point -
    there's nothing to go on.

might help you pin down a little more about what's working and what's not,
but there's nothing at this point of much interest to go on. The biggest
suspects would be networking or video card drivers, really.
