I have been watching threads and know that this is not just a problem of my
system. I installed SBS2003 Premium, about a month ago The only premium
service installed so far is ISA, had a previous sbs2000 that had motherboard
fried couldn't recover any of it and started new. The new server is mostly
fine except it will not send email or posts over outlook express, we receive
mail fine. It will not send over port 25 or 465 for mail nor will it send
the posts to this group. ( I am sending this from home before going to
office) I have not had time nor do we have virus protection to use exchange,
we were not using exchange before because the boss claims she does not like
outlook and wants to use outlook express.
In the last set of posts the suggestion was made to go to the virtual
exchange server and change the properties. Well I spent most of yesterday
looking for this in 2003 and to no avail. I have looked in IIs and in the
exchange section of server management. This is becoming large problem and
boss is getting steamier, I must get the problem solved. Please help resolve
    this issue.
    Thank you, Bill

  2. If you are using Outlook express to get mail from a pop server, you should
probably enable port110 on your server. I believe that NNTP uses port119.
In any case, for troubleshooting this issue, begin with taking the fiewall
out of the way to see if this is your problem. Maybe the problem is on
    your router.
