    Hello,
I have been trying now for a week to get a scanner from work to work. It is a Canon,
3200F series and I have tried drivers from Canada, US, and Europe and cannot get the scanner to scan. I have read hundreds of posts but no difinitive answer have I found as of yet. I keep getting the following error:

Cannot scan for the following reasons:

    - The original may not be set correctly
    - The film adaptor unit protective sheet may be in place
    - The lamp may not be warmed (etc)

The scanner attempts to scan, the light moves slightly then stops.
    The scanner is not locked
If I do a diagnostics check the scanner checks out fine and is seen in the control panel>scanners/cameras
I have tried multiple settings for documents/photos and cannot even get a preview.
I am at a loss here and am ready to toss this thing.

    Running the following:
Windows Vista Home Premium - 32 bit
    2 GB Ram
AMD athlon 64 x2 Duel core processor 4000+ 2.10 GHz

any help or feed back would be greatly appreciated
