    Hi all,

Please help with the follow problem. Thanks.

    Enviroment:
    - A domain called A.COM is installed DFS with domain base namespace
    - Another domain called B.COM, every user is belonged to this domain
    - A.COM and B.COM is not trusted
    - There is a shortcut in user's desktop of B.COM which is pointing to a DFS
    namespare
    - When user in B.COM double click the shortcut, they need to enter
    A.COM\UserID, and Password

    Problem:
    - Notebook and Desktop user can access the DFS in the very beginging
    - After day to day, some notebook user click the shortcut and got the error
something likes "Windows cannot find the B.COM\namespace".
    - DNS no problem surely, PC user access without problem
    - If run the "net use x: \\B.COM\Namespace /user:B.COM\User1 password" in
the notebook, it success to connect the DFS.
    - If execute the "\\10.1.1.1\Namespace" (IP of B.COM), it also success to
    connect the DFS

So do you have any suggestion? some guys told me that it may be caused by
the notebook network connection disconnected for a long time, and some kind
of SMB ticket expired for A.COM.

How can i fix the problem and i still can use the shortcut in between 2
    non-trusted domain?

Do you have DFS setup as a stand-alone or Active Directory Integrated?
