I've got a problem whereby our users can't access the logon scripts. If you
browse to the netlogon share we are unable to open the scripts, getting the
    error message:-

"windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have
the appropiate permissions to acceess the item."

This happens even when logged on as administrator. Checking the permissions
on the files and they are fine.

If I browse on the server to c:\windows\sysvol\domain I can open the scripts
    up fine.

This is causing me problems as no-one is getting their mapped network
    drives! Can anyone help?

  2. The logon scripts should be saved in the folder:

    %SystemRoot%\sysvol\sysvol\<domain DNS name>\scripts

on a DC. This folder is shared as NetLogon and all users should have
    sufficient permissions.

This sounds like an issue that I had with McAfee Antivirus software. There
is some feature in access protection that blocks all types of different
exectuable/etc. from running off of network drives. If you're running
McAfee, try disabling some of these features and give it a go.
