Can't add music files to CD that already has music files

I'm purchasing music from and burning it to a
CD-RW. The first write works fine and the CD will play on
ordinary CD players. When I attempt to add a new music
file to the CD, Windows Media Player prompts me to insert
    a blank disc.

Why can't I just add to the existing disk? The same thing
    happens when writing to CD-Rs.

I found that I could delete the CD-RW, then write the
previous music plus the new music file successfully. This
is a problem though because I'm only allowed three writes
    to CD per song.

Any help would really be appreciated.

Your problem is that the burn program is closing the CD
after recording ends. This means you cannot add to it.
    You need a 'multisession' facility.
    Try 'Burnya' from Ashampoo
