Can't add songs to any playlist. Have been to XP "Help and Support Center"
and tried to follow instructions under "To add audio and video files to
Media Library", but no luck. I still have many songs there, but they were
installed before switching from WMP 7 to WMP 9. In WMP/File/Add to Media
Library/ the "Add Currently Playing Track" is grayed out.

    Suggestions please.

    Thanks......Bud

    | | Is the Media Library otherwise functional?
    | | Resetting it may help-

    | Everything is working OK except for the grayed-out "Add Currently Playing
    | Track".
    |
    | Thanks for the advice. Will try "resetting" per that site. Hope that won't
    | delete all my songs!

Can't understand what I'm supposed to do to "reset" WMP per that "How do I
rebuild a broken Media Library link".

    Help please?

You follow the instructions on that exact link to reset the library. What
    exactly is confusing there? :)

Thanks for the little "push" Zach. Went back over that article then printed
it out and studied it much more closely. It appears I merely have to rename
WMP by adding ".bak" to it's name. Sounds too easy now. ; -) If that's
"resetting" then even *I* can handle it. After I figure out how to save my
playlist, I'll give it a try!

    Thank you again!! Bud

Was able to rename WMP to end in ".bak". The original ending was ......._59
period (no .wmdb), but all is working well in adding all songs!

Thank you very, very much Zach!!!

    (Will keep your Web site
    http://www.nwlink.com/~zachd/pss/pss.html#medialibrary handy)
