Can't open .doc/.pdf/.xls files

    Whenever my co-workers or I click on a link to any of these file types, we
    get the Open/Save/Cancel dialog, but when you click either Open or Save, an
    error pops up.

    "Internet Explorer cannot download <document name> from <root URL>.
    Internet Explorer was not able to open this internet site. The requested
    file was either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later."

    The majority of files we are trying to access are on our local intranet, so
    we know that they are up and available.

    Apparently this is just a problem on a couple of boxes. I was able to install
    it on two other machines, (a laptop at work and my desktop at home), and it
    works like a champ on both.
