I'm using WMP 11. Since loading this player I haven't been able to play
protected wma files (i.e. files that use a licience). When I click to play a
particular song it launches me into a window to download an update for the
security components of the software but unfortunately that process always
    fails. Get message:
COOD275E Specified Server cannot perform required operation

WMP cannot download media usage rights because the server is not available...

I also tried the Security Component Upgrade site (i.e. contained in other
posts in this newsgroup I viewed.) When Invoke the upgrade it always fails
and ends up locking up the exporer which I then have to kill in task manager.

What can I do to resolve this problem. Is my only option to go back to the
previous version of WMP I was using?
