Can't remove 'password never expires' from some users

    Hi,

I have some users who had accounts that were set never to expire. I want
to change them to the standard expiration but MMC gives me an error -
password does not meet complexity requirements - when I uncheck the
    never expires box.

If I check the box to force them to change passwords at next logon I get
the error that password never expires is set so they will not be forced
    to change.

If I check the box to force them to change passwords at next logon and
uncheck the password never expires box I get the password does not meet
    complexity requirements error again.

How can I bring these accounts into line??

    Thanks

Have you tried simply resetting their passwords?

    Hi,
It's quite likely that this would work, but it may be difficult to let
them know what the new password is, particularly before they try the old
one and lock themselves out. I guess if they can't get in they'll find me ;)
