Can't resolve conflict for inbox?!?!

  1. I use Outlook 2003 and Activesync 3.8. I bought a new hard drive,
    reinstalled XP, Office 2003, Activesync, and now everytime I connect my
    PocketPC I get an unresolved conflict with my Inbox. I tried all 3 conflict
    handling options(leave unresolved, replace on device, replace on desktop). I
    have no items in inbox, but can't seem to resolve whatever conflict it
    thinks it has!? Inbox does sync OK with new messages. PLEASE help!!?!!
