I am having issue connecting my iPAQ 3970 to my Win XP
Pro laptop. I can synchronise my tasks, notes and
favourites, but not my calendar contacts and inbox. On
activesync it says 'Sync is status on the device'. After
a while on my PDA the sync attempt failed with the
remaining sync items and an error message
    pops up on the PDA:

'Synchrnonisation failed due to a communications failure.'

I am using Outlook 2003 and connec to Exchange Server
    2003 Standard Edition.

The problem started occuring once I upgraded to
activesync 3.7.1 and my pocketpc from 2002 to 2003.

Any help on this matter will much kindly appreciated.

It seems to be a problem like mine. After upgrading to
Outlook-2003 I can't get my data synchronized to the PDA.
The problem resides on the new format of the dbase on
    office-2003.

I'm finding a way to correct this issue. Please tell me if
    you find something first.

    Thanks

This reminds me of Server synchronization. Maybe something messed with the
AS configuration and changed it to sync from a server instead on the PC.
Check on Sync options whether the 'enable synchronization with server' was
enabled and if yes, disable it.
