I have a v1240 (The vodafone versio of the Toranado by HTC).

I have previously had it syncing fine via both USB and bluetooth.

I have had to resinstall everything on my PC and now it doesn't sync. I get
error ox80004005, it suggests deleting the partnership, which I have done
    several times.

It connects, it begins the sync and then falls over.

TI have checked the outlook file with scanpst, and the same file suynconises
wit hmy Ipaq which suggests it isn't he fiel that is faulty.

    Can some one help pleae?

    thanks

  3. The best you can probably do is try to figure out which contact or contacts
are the problem. It might be one that has something unusual about it (a
large note field, international characters in the e-mail address), who
knows. You should be able to create a new contacts folder and copy all of
your existing contacts to it (wouldn't hurt to back up first, too). Then,
you can copy a few contacts back into the main folder, check for syncing,
and localize the problem in that way.

I had it working on my laptop for a while, but now even after removing old
contacts, archiving the file to make it smaller, importing adn exporting the
contacts (which is the element casuing the problem) I'm still running into
problems. now I'm getting error 0x80070057

    Please can someone help?
