    Greetings,

We have gotten one of our products to pass WHQL certification and received a
..CAT file. IT also shows up in Windows Update. Unfortunately this .CAT file
does not seem to prevent the warning against installing unsigned drivers. We
can't seem to figure out what to do with the CAT file. The email from the
Winqual techs says "Please put the .cat file where ever your driver package
is located. " but that's not very specific. Does it go in the directory where
the rest of the driver files are? Where the original installer lives?

It is part of your install package. The files you are proposing to
install have to be exactly the same files you got signed. Anything
else is going to result in unsigned warnings and/or install failures.
