Since Vista does not use boot.ini is there any way to add the switch
/usepmtimer to Vista without removing the Vista boot loader and using XPs
    boot.ini file?

    try VistaBootPro.
if using vista 5456, must copy bcdedit from ststem32 folder to VistaBootPro folder.
