Check Disk won't check disk!

    Hi,
I run check disk in the GUI of Win2k Srv. and it stops near the end of Stage
2 and says it cannot check the disk.
So then I try to "schedule" a check disk on next reboot by selecting "fix
errors". But when the server reboots, it doesn't run the check disk.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

Actually no error in logs at all.

I even checked the BootExecute entry in the registry and that was fine as
    well.
So, I ended up using recovery console, ran chkdsk /p/r , then on the
following reboot it FINALLY did the scheduled Check Disk.. "gee, thanks, now
    you do it"...
    So, anyway, seems ok now.
    Tnx.
