CHM help file error on network share

    Hi,

    Just installed IE7 and found out that a .chm help file is not displayed when
    it is located on a network share. The first message is:
    "Navigation to the webpage was canceled"

    When I click on any of the navigation links on the left, I get the message:
    "This program cannot display the webpage"

    When the .chm file is copied to a local disk, all is working fine. Does
    anyone have any clue what is the cause of this?

    A second smaller question: how can I tell which version of IE7 is installed?

    Thanks for your answer, I tried to follow your hint, but found nothing.

    This particular chm file is nothing special. It's a 'regular' compiled help
    file and the links are only internal links. In fact, I tested about 10 of the
    chm files i found on my local disk and they all had the same result: works
    fine locally, but gives errors on network shares. I also tested difference
    shared drive and UNC paths, same result.

    In the IE advanced settings, I couldn't find anything that should address
    this issue. I changed some settings as a long shot, but no result.
