Clear erroneous track info in Windows Media Player

Windows Media Player incorrectly identified some of my CDs, so now the tracks
are incorrectly named. (Actually, in some cases CD1 and CD2 are identified as
the same CD and I receive a list consisting of some track names from CD1 and
some from CD2, and in another case a CD in one language is identified as the
same CD in another language, despite there being some differences, but
reporting all that and getting the info changed is not how I want this
    problem solved)

How do I clear the album info, i.e. tell WMP not to fetch the info, and also
clear the already downloaded info, so that my CDs will show up as Unknown
Album with track numbers only? Can I tag individual CDs as "wrong", so WMP
will remember that they are Unknown Album for a reason, but still downloads
    info for other CDs?

This is relevant because I do not want misleading info in my playlist or in
    my ripped files.

I tried unchecking the checkbox under preferences->library, but it seems WMP
    is still downloading info.
