    Hi

    I am trying to play an AVI file but getting the following error "Windows
    Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file
    type or a required codec might not be installed on your computer." I went
    to MS web help and found that I am getting "error message C00D119A while
    using Windows Media Player" error.

    I checked WMP 11 to ensure that AVI file type is ticked and then changed IE
    security to 'High'. Then updates the software and play the file again but I
    am still getting the same error.

    Please can you advise as I am unable to find the answer on the MS website.

    Thank you in advance.

    It's saying that "C00D119A" codec is being used. I cannot run the file
    still.
