Is there any command line parameter to clear the cache i.e. Temporary
internet files as well as to delete the cookies?

That means before opening the browser I should delete temp internet files
    and cookies.

    Please help me.

    Thanks,

    PK

  2. Supposedly...

    http://www.tweakvista.com/Article39092.aspx

    (Live Search for
    clearmytracksbyprocess inetcpl
    )

FWIW DependencyWalker shows an entrypoint exists in inetcpl.cpl
called ClearMyTracksByProcessW. I think the W may signify that
the call requires a parameter. Otherwise I don't know how the W gets
dropped from the entrypoint name by this suggestion.

BTW I have never tried this. Caveat emptor!

Whenever you ask a question about Internet Explorer you ought to include
which versions of IE and Windows you have.

There is no such command line switch.

You can clear TIF at the close of every browsing session through
Internet Options > Advanced > 'Empty TIF folder when the browser is
closed'. There is no similar setting for cookies because cookies are
helpful to browsing so for most users there is no advantage to clearing
them each time the browser is closed. Cookies are highly configurable in
Internet Explorer - go to Internet Options > Privacy.

Nevertheless, if you really think it's important to delete all your
cookies every time I would suggest one of the zillion or so free
programs available on the web that do this for you automatically. Or
    write your own batch file.

  4. Hello,

You can use the Quero Launcher, a small command line utility, to delete your
browsing history and then open IE.

    http://www.quero.at/launcher.php

    Syntax example:
    qlaunch.exe deletecache,deletecookies open

    Best regards,
