I'm develloping a driver for our products, and have created a new classGUID
with the name Avantes Device. Just for perfection I would like to change the
icon Windows has given it in the Device Manager, from the tilted square to
    our compagny Logo.

My question is simple: How do I do this? Is this done in the .INF file, and
ifso how do I implement this in the .INF file?

After this is done, the device will be sent to to a testlab and the driver
    will be signed )

Look in the classInstall32 section documentation for the INF file. You will
need to create a dummy class installer (if you do not have a real one) and
put the icon in the resource section of the installer.

  4. What Don said. And there is a sample in the DDK/WDK under
    %BASEDIR%\src\general\toaster

Look at the toaster.inf file and the classinstaller sub directory.
