Are these attributes the same? If I fill in the computer description on a
Windows XP computer will it fill in the Description field on the computer
object in the AD. I have tested this in both a production and a lab
environment (default install) and it doesn't seem to work that way. I am
just looking for confirmation that I didn't configure something wrong.

We have local site contacts add computers to the domain but they are not
able to move these objects between OU's. I would like to have them fill in
the description fields with the location and function/project of the
computers. Our support center would organize these objects into the correct
OU....I don't want to many hands in the cookie jar. Things always get messed
up when to many people have the ability to do such things.

If memory servers they're not the same thing. The computer description is a
    NetBT thing, I think...

Well, that bites! You think they would have linked these fields.
