I have a series of net use lines in a batch file to map network drivs for a
department. When they look in the Network Drives section of My Computer, all
of the drives show as disconnected. Why?

They can access the drive as soon as they cick on it, but from a pr
standpoint, it does not look good to see "Disconnected"

  3. Is this a startup script or a logon script? There's a distinct difference.
Logon runs under the interactive user's security context. Startup under
    SYSTEMs context.
